About the Role

TELUS Digital is looking for a Cloud Support Engineer to provide technical support for one of the world's top cloud computing providers, specifically focusing on its cloud products and services.

As part of a global 24x7 support organization, you will assist customers by troubleshooting and resolving cloud-related issues across various platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and platform concepts, along with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for cloud-based products and services

  • Troubleshoot networking, storage, and infrastructure issues

  • Analyze product logs to identify root causes of technical problems

  • Assist customers with DevOps practices such as CI/CD

  • Utilize cloud monitoring tools to detect and resolve system issues

  • Offer excellent customer service while managing technical cases

  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues

Requirements

  • Understanding of Linux & Windows server administration

  • Knowledge of networking (NAT, DNS, firewalls, routing, load balancing, etc.)

  • Familiarity with cloud storage concepts, including object storage, data lakes, and database storage

  • Experience with network troubleshooting tools (ping, netstat, traceroute, dig, etc.)

  • Notion of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines)

  • Ability to analyze product logs for troubleshooting

  • Strong problem-solving and research skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Immediate availability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VPNs, and Virtual Private Clouds

  • Experience with cloud storage services (Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage)

  • Basic Bash scripting skills

  • Understanding of web and mail protocols (HTTP, TLS, SMTP, etc.)

  • Familiarity with API technologies (OAuth, HTTP RPCs, REST)

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, or similar)

  • Relevant Certifications (Preferred):

    • Google Associate Cloud Engineer

    • Google Professional Cloud Architect

    • Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer

    • AWS Certified Advanced Networking

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect

    • Azure Solutions Architect

    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
