Description and Requirements

The Facilities and Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety compliance and efficient operation of facilities. This role involves conducting risk assessments, audits, and providing NHO/Safety training. Additionally, the specialist will assist in repair & maintenance programs, vendor management, financial management (OPEX) and ensuring adherence to gov't regulatory standards, but not limited to PEZA, DOLE, BFP, LGU and DENR. This role supports the Facilities team in providing a safe and functional environment.

Functional Responsibilities

1. Oversee/Evaluate vendor performance and contracts for Equipment PM and Repairs & Maintenance. Ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).

2. Assist in implementing maintenance and repair programs for company assets and critical equipment including landlord initiated activities that would affect the site's operation.

3. Monitor facility OPEX Expense and Identify cost-saving opportunities/initiatives.

4. Involvement in CAPEX projects and identify risk:

  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Contractor Safety Management
  • Commissioning & Handover (Verify operational safety readiness)
  • Risk Assessment (JHA, EIA & HIRAC)

4. Support/Assist office moves, upliftment, and optimization (capacity management).

5. Overseeing facility operations, maintenance (R&M), and optimization strategies.

6. Conducting data analysis to improve facility performance, reduce costs, and improve EHS compliance.

7. Propose projects related to energy efficiency, technology integration and innovation

8. Lead regular EHS audits and inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with standards, programs, regulations and initiatives.

9. Provide NHO/Safety training and guidance to facility staff and stakeholders.

10. Facilitate regular drills (evacuation, earthquake & fire) and emergency training.

11. Conduct Workplace inspection, Ergonomic assessments and Risk Analysis audit.

12. Lead and Collaborate with other departments to develop and manage the Emergency Response Procedure (ERP) and Emergency Response Team (ERT)

13. Understand and assist in fulfilling the responsibilities of a Pollution Control Officer (PCO) & Safety Officer (SO).

14. Prepares and consolidates reports that may be assigned from time to time.

15. Additional role/scope that the department may assign as needed with regards to facilities, safety, environment, analytics & security compliance.
