As an IT Project Manager at TELUS Digital, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within budget, schedule, and scope. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects, meeting both technical and business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven track record of managing complex IT projects.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to track progress and ensure adherence to timelines and resource allocations.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify project requirements and prioritize tasks based on business needs.

  • Manage project resources, including team members, vendors, and external consultants, to ensure effective utilization and allocation of resources.

  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing issues and risks proactively to keep projects on track.

  • Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, providing regular reports and presentations as needed.

  • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.


Requirements:



  • 3-5 years of experience managing and executing strategic projects in a fast-paced environment gained in consumer-driven industries.

  • Strong networking and stakeholder management skills, and ability to challenge, negotiate and influence effectively across businesses and functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to enforce metrics that drive efficiency, measure performance and reduce costs, combined with a good sense of hands-on mentality and strategic thinking

  • Strong capabilities in data analysis, root cause analysis, lean methods, operational modeling, and structuring of complex improvement projects

  • Exceptional project management skills, PMI certified preferred

  • Experience managing and leading globally dispersed projects teams (directly and indirectly within a matrix organization) and ability to lead cross functional working groups and teams.

  • Strong communication, relationship building skills, effective problem and conflict resolution skills.

  • Conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking.

  • Willingness to deal with ambiguity.
