Position:  TIDS Sr. Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Las Vegas, NV (Various Unanticipated Worksites within the U.S.)


Responsibilities:

  • Develop applications, system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.  Design, develop, test, debug and troubleshoot the application and oversee smooth implementation of the application.  

  • Create tests to detect any issues with software before the product is launched.  Identify and analyze any bugs found during testing and document them.  

  • Manage testing tools, report results, and motivate process improvement.  

  • Design, develop and modify software systems and determine system performance standards.  

  • Collaborate with software developers to fix and patch issues with software systems.  

  • Run tests to detect defects and ensure they have been patched.  

  • Run tests to ensure there are no new bugs, and to ensure the defect has been corrected.  Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.  

  • Modify existing applications to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, and upgrade interfaces to improve performance.  Work with the administrative team and deployment on production and non-production servers and monitor configuration and codes.  

  • Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, and network environments.  Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, and code pieces to determine breakdown source. 

  • Design and develop automated testing tools.  Install and configure recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance.  

  • Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic relocation required to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.


Educ./experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst, Java Developer, or in a related position. Experience must include: designing, building, and maintaining Java; translating application storyboards and use cases into functional application, maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.  Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic relocation required to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.
