About the Role
As a Senior SDET Lead, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable automation frameworks, drive quality best practices across teams, and ensure seamless integration of testing into the development lifecycle.
You will work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to improve testability, reliability, and overall software quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
Test Scripting & Execution: Write code to automate functional, regression, backend, API, and UI tests.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration/deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Code Collaboration: Review developer code to identify potential issues and ensure testability.
Performance & Security: Perform load, stress, and security testing to ensure application scalability and safety.
Bug Management: Identify, log, and track software defects to resolution.
Lead QA strategy and mentor junior/mid-level SDETs and QA engineers.
Promote best practices in test automation, CI/CD, and quality engineering.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments to ensure quality ownership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in software testing, automation, or SDET roles.
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java or Python.
Automation Tools: Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Reflect.
API/Database Testing: Expertise in API testing (Postman, Rest Assured) and SQL.
DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
Core Competencies:
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead initiatives and influence quality across engineering teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
