Position Overview:
The Networking Manager is responsible for the delivery, support, and, management of global
network services and Manage a global team of IT professionals and vendor managed services;
develop and mentor a team to deliver daily support in a managed services environment. The
Network manager understands of WAN/LAN/MAN, Wireless LAN, PBX, Video Conferencing and
VoIP support - managing enterprise-wide networking and telecommunications systems globally
in a 24x7x365 manufacturing and business office environments

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the prioritization and scheduling of all voice and data projects and tasks.
2. Oversee problem notification and escalation to ensure timely resolution of voice and data issues.
3. Manage and coordinate on-call rotation to ensure appropriate support.
4. Manage and oversee preventative maintenance of network hardware/software environments as well as upgrade and patch distribution.
5. Participate in the evaluation of network hardware/software solutions and provide the technical direction for the team.
6. Oversee SOX control testing and compliance for areas of responsibility.
7. Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving network efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Develop and maintain solution roadmaps that support requirements identified in the IT/BU Interlock Process.
9. Monitor network performance, analyzes utilization trends and takes necessary actions to mitigate network bottlenecks and potential outages.
10. Participate in meetings with Facilities to plan and implement voice and data solutions when commissioning new offices or expanding current operations.
11. Interact and collaborate with internal Engineering and Product Management groups relative to the testing and release of future Riverbed products.
12. Participate in the development of the annual I.T. budget and quarterly forecasting of I.T. spending.
13. Provide coaching and mentoring of all direct reports and conduct annual performance evaluations.
14. Perform interviews and hiring of new staff members.
15. Provide recommendations on architectural changes and design enhancements to the network and voice infrastructure while reducing overall costs
16. Perform Other duties as assigned
Technical skills:
ATM/Sonet, IPS, VPN concentrators, TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP, BGP, NAT,
Access-Lists, VLANs, DMZs, DNS, WINS DHCP, WIFI and 802.11x, VoIP technologies, Public
Telephone & Telegraph (PTT) access, frame-relay, LAN/WAN, IPT
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 4 years degree in the field of computer science, Information Sciences, or related field.
- 3-5 years of working experience as a Network Manager
- Cross Trained within IT Technologies: Network, Server, Voice, Cloud, able to understand IT Infrastructure interconnectivity
- Willing to work on-site setup at the TELUS Araneta/Ortigas site on a shifting schedule.
