At TELUS Digital, we’re investing in next-generation growth – and we’re looking for a Senior Business Development Executive to lead strategic business development efforts and executive engagement for one of our most important industry growth segments – Regional Cable Telecoms. This is a high-visibility, senior role for a growth-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of consultative sales, industry insight, and C-suite relationship building. You will be instrumental in expanding our footprint within the Fiber and Regional telecom segment, identifying whitespace opportunities, and shaping complex digital and IT transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced sales hunter who brings strategic thinking, industry credibility, and a relentless drive to win.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-oriented sales leader with a strong network of executive-level relationships at Regional Cable Telecoms. You will be responsible for generating, developing, and closing new business opportunities, expanding our market presence, and positioning TELUS Digital as a strategic partner.
Generate New Opportunities. Develop opportunities from zero to close, through the sales cycle from initial discovery to solution scoping and development, proposal development, negotiation and contracting.
Lead Segment/Account Planning and Strategy: Own and execute strategic account plans for the industry segment, forecasting pipeline progression and revenue growth in alignment with industry and account targets.
Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Build and maintain relationships with C-Suite executives and senior decision-makers, understanding their business priorities and aligning our offerings to deliver strategic value.
Win with Industry Solutions.Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and delivery, to align solutions with client needs, maximize cross-sell opportunities, and build compelling proposals that demonstrate thought leadership and business impact.
Enhance Industry Positioning: Represent TELUS Digital at industry events, client forums, and strategic briefings, showcasing our value proposition with clarity and conviction.
Drive Thought Leadership: Leverage deep telecom and media industry knowledge to articulate business-relevant solutions that address evolving market challenges.
Exceed Expectations: Consistently exceed sales quota and help elevate our position as a trusted business partner.
This is a strategic growth leadership role where the candidate will build the market segment strategy, influence product and solutions direction, and serve as a trusted advisor to regional cable telecoms. The role is perfect for a hunter with consultative sales DNA and the ability to translate business challenges into digital opportunities.
What You Bring:
Industry Sales Experience: 10+ years of client-facing experience in consulting, enterprise sales, or business development for digital transformation, data and AI, customer experience, network solutions, or enterprise IT products and services with regional cable telecom clients.
Executive-Level Network: Established relationships with senior level decision-makers (CIOs, CTOs, COOs, VPs) at regional cable telecoms with a deep understanding of industry dynamics and C-level selling to accelerate sales cycles and drive revenue growth.
Proven Hunter Track Record: A growth mindset, entrepreneurial energy, and hunter DNA with demonstrated success in net-new client acquisition and quota attainment with complex multi-million dollar deals, with strong pipeline management skills.
Strategic and Consultative Approach: High emotional intelligence and boardroom polish with the ability to understand complex business challenges and articulate the value of TELUS Digital’s products and solutions.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong strategic thinking, deal orchestration, and executive communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and advise stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Academic Credentials: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred

Pay:
The base compensation range for this position is $132,000 - $165,000 USD Annually commensurate with experience. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
