Job Description

Position Summary:


TELUS International is seeking a dedicated Team Leader for our Content Writer program, with English native-speaking fluency. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding and supervising a team of content writers, ensuring the creation of accurate, contextually relevant, and ethical content. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining high-quality content generation.
 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Content Writers, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management to ensure the production of high-quality responses.

  • Collaborate closely with support area teams to understand training guidelines, objectives, and ethical considerations, and translate them into actionable plans

  • Oversee the creation and enhancement of content generated by Content Writers, ensuring it aligns with accuracy, coherence, and contextual appropriateness.

  • Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance evaluations for team members, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable feedback.

  • Manage payroll and attendance review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, including the ability to coach, mentor, and guide a team while performing administrative tasks.

  • Strong analytical abilities, particularly in evaluating content outputs, managing performance, and handling payroll review.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across support area teams, clear guidance to content writers, and constructive coaching sessions.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage team responsibilities, timelines, operational goals, and administrative tasks.

  • Familiarity with content management tools and systems is a plus.

  • Proactive attitude towards staying updated with the latest developments in AI ethics, NLP, and content generation.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work from site

  • Native English speaker

  • Oral and written comprehension

  • Appropriate use of language

  • B2 English level

  • 1 year of proven experience in a leadership role

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communication, Creative Writing, or a related field; relevant experience will also be considered - desired

  • Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

  • Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) principles, including syntax, semantics, and discourse analysis.

  • Familiarity with content moderation tools and techniques is a plus.
