About the Role
The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing manual and automated test cases, E2E to identify defects, ensure product quality, and verify that all functionalities meet specified requirements, reporting bugs, and collaborating with development teams to deliver robust and reliable software solutions. This role requires an understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and automation frameworks.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze software requirements, specifications to create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases.
Identify test data requirements and create necessary test data.
Execute test cases manually, thoroughly documenting test results and logging defects.
Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Report bugs, including steps to reproduce, evidence as images or videos, expected results, and actual results.
Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure defects are resolved without introducing new issues.
Important: Work closely with developers, business analysts, to understand project requirements and resolve issues.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
Provide timely and accurate updates on testing progress and defect status.
Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
Requirements
4+ Years of experience as a QA Automation
Knowledge of performance testing and security testing principles.
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) is a plus.
Knowledge of Netcracker platform (optional)
Experience with Jira system
