Position overview

The HR Coordinator serves under the direction of the HR Manager. The HR coordinator provides administrative support to the entirety of the HR team, including responding to team member inquiries, completing various reporting, sorting department mail, participating in site engagement activities, and performing other HR duties as assigned. 

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner

  • Help maintain personnel files and documents

  • Complete employment verification requests

  • Complete various HRIS transactions as assigned

  • Complete various HR related audits and reports as assigned

  • Assist with FMLA/ADA administration

  • Assist HR Business Partners with reporting, investigations, and other duties as assigned

  • Maintain strict confidentiality

Core competencies

  • Giving support, focusing on internal and external customers, embracing technology, managing self-development, strong analytical skills, ability to navigate frequent changes and shifting priorities, attention to detail

Functional competencies

  • General knowledge of Human Resources best practices

  • General knowledge of labor law and employment compliance 

  • Proficiency with Google Suite products (slides, sheets, docs, etc.)

  • Previous experience working with Workday (or similar HRIS systems) preferred but not required

  • Demonstrated strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and coordination skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Qualification - Minimum of 1 year in an HR Coordinator or similar role required

  • Qualification - SHRM or PHR preferred but not required
