Are you passionate about automotive technology and want to be at the forefront of AI-driven innovation? We're seeking an experienced AI Testing Driver to play a crucial role in developing and validating cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems.

About the Role

As an AI Testing Driver, you'll be instrumental in testing and refining autonomous vehicle technology through real-world driving scenarios. You'll work closely with our engineering and AI development teams to ensure our systems perform safely and effectively across diverse traffic conditions and environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive testing scenarios across various traffic environments including urban, highway, rural, and challenging weather conditions

  • Document and analyze test outcomes with detailed reporting on system performance, edge cases, and anomalies

  • Perform daily vehicle preparation including fueling/charging, pre-drive safety inspections, and equipment checks

  • Conduct regular vehicle maintenance addressing weather-related issues and ensuring compliance with road regulations

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide actionable feedback on AI system behavior and performance

  • Maintain accurate test logs and contribute to continuous improvement of testing protocols

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during testing operations

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience(>3 years) driving on track environments (professional racing, track days, or serious motorsport hobby)

  • Valid European driver's license (clean driving record preferred)

  • Background in the automotive industry with hands-on technical knowledge

  • Capability to diagnose and fix minor technical issues independently

  • Currently living in a major city within the country (Germany)

  • Fluent English (written and verbal communication)

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with vehicle telemetry or data logging systems

  • Understanding of autonomous vehicle technology or AI systems

  • Ability to work rotating shift schedules

  • Advanced/defensive driving certifications

Project specification

  • Start date: end of January 2025

  • Project duration: minimum 9 months with possibility of extension

  • Employment type: Contract of employment

  • Work type: Full time (40hours/ week)

  • Work style: driving and remote reporting

Ideal Candidate Profile

You’re detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrive in dynamic testing environments. You bring strong driving experience, solid automotive knowledge, and excellent observational skills. You’re capable of tagging datasets and working across Linux and other operating systems, and can communicate complex technical findings clearly to cross-functional teams. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is required, and familiarity with basic sensor maintenance is a plus.


You will work with driving test vehicles for data collection, as well as analyzing the collected data. You will also be responsible for maintaining and setting up the vehicles for specific conditions
