What happens to your application form and supporting data once you submit it?
The application form and the personal information you have included will initially be held on a CRM database that is stored on a secure cloud server system operated by a third party vendor, currently Avature. The application will then be assessed by the hiring team supported by automated tools that help us give you an answer sooner on how the position’s requirements match your skills. Certain personal information of applicants considered potentially suitable, will be transferred to a secure assessment platform operated by SHL, (the rest remaining on the original CRM database for the time being) and those candidates will be invited to participate in a series of on-line tests to assess relevant skills. The results of those tests using an automated system will be sent to hiring team and successful applicants will be sent a job offer. The personal information of applicants who accept a job offer will be transferred to our secure, cloud-based Workday database. By submitting this form, you consent to receive email campaigns related to available positions and with your additional explicit consent, we might contact you via SMS. During the interview process, we also use a fraud prevention tool called the SAFE Tool. The SAFE Tool utilizes facial recognition technology to assist TELUS Digital in verifying that the applicant which submitted an application is the same individual that attends a virtual interview. Where the SAFE Tool identifies a potential fraudulent applicant, it will flag the issue for TELUS Digital’s Talent Acquisition Team, who will then manually confirm the SAFE Tool’s assessment. Applicant’s refusal to provide consent will not lead to exclusion from the application process. Instead, the applicant’s reference photo and video snapshot will be manually reviewed by TELUS Digital’s Talent Acquisition Team.
