About the Role


As a Full Stack Developer the team member will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the entire web application ecosystem. Validate requirements prepared by the Business Analyst to clarify doubts or inconsistencies, and efficiently develop a technical design. This includes creating responsive and intuitive front-end user interfaces as well as architecting and implementing robust, scalable back-end services and APIs. You will take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements gathering to deployment, testing, and ongoing support, ensuring seamless integration between the client and server sides.




Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, implement and maintain technological solutions (applications, enterprise integrations, modules or tools) needed by TI to support any enterprise integration with 3rd party tools or any other platform development as required. Responsible for writing and coding individual programming solutions from specific requirements, responsible for writing technical program documentation.



Requirements:

  • Meeting or exceeding all metrics in your current role for the last 3 months.

  • Minimum of 95% Attendance.

  • Minimum of 6 months as a TELUS International employee.

  • Minimum of 6 months in the current position and current account/ department.

  • No active disciplinary processes.

  • Schedule flexibility.

  • Completed the position-specific required course from the Learning Multiverse Fundamentals - Mandatory

Knowledge:

  • English -  B2 - Required

    • Oral and written comprehension

    • Appropriate use of language

  • Front-End: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/Sass and TypeScript is essential., and extensive hands-on experience with the React.js library and its ecosystem (e.g., Redux for state management).

  • Back-End: Deep expertise in at least one of the following primary ecosystems is mandatory:

  • Java: Core Java and the Spring Boot framework are central to many of their microservices.

  • Node.js: Proficiency with Node.js is crucial for building scalable, JavaScript-based back-end services.

  • Desired: Knowledge and experience with enterprise integrations, including iPaaS platforms like Workato, Boomi, and Mulesoft.

  • Expertise in ETL data integration languages is desired. Proficiency in Python is highly advantageous; familiarity with Java and Apache Camel for robust data flow is also beneficial.

  • Architectural Patterns: Strong understanding of microservices architecture and experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

  • Knowledge in Relational DataBase design. 

  • Databases: Practical ability to write SQL queries (for databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

  • Knowledge of hot databases (Redis, memcache, etc) is a plus

  • System Design: Knowledge of how to design scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed systems.

  • Knowledge and experience about agile methodologies for software development (preferable SCRUM).

  • Cloud Platform: Hands-on skills in deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is a great plus: AWS or Azure.

  • DevOps Culture: A strong understanding of DevOps principles, focusing on automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.



Studies & Experience:

  • Degree in computer systems or related careers - Desirable

  • Professional Experience: Typically 3-5+ years of professional experience in a full-stack or similar software development role.

  • At least 1 year in analysis, design  and development of enterprise integration platforms (iPaaS) is a plus.

  • Scrum fundamentals (certification) - must

  • Certifications: Professional certifications in relevant areas, such as Google Cloud Platform or Kubernetes.
