HR Operations Manager

Location: Cork (Hybrid role)


Position Overview and Functional Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the HR Director, as the HR Operations Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising our human resources functions. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with Irish labour laws, and fostering a positive and productive work environment for our team members


Key Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • HR Operations Management:

    • Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, Succession planning, Retention and offboarding.

    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with Irish labour laws and industry best practices.

    • Manage employee records, payroll, and benefits administration to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HR-related issues and provide guidance on HR matters.

    • Ensure regular review and follow up of relevant reports 

    • Lead a team of HR professionals

Compliance:

  • Stay updated on Irish labour laws and regulations, ensuring full compliance within the organisation.

  • Ensure Management of Annual Leave in line with Irish Legislation 

  • Utilise your experience with the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) to handle employee grievances, disputes, and investigations effectively.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to any WRC cases and other compliance matters.


Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

  • Proven ability to analyse complex HR issues, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.

  • Effective problem-solving skills to address employee relations issues and HR challenges.


Change Management:

  • Experience in leading and managing organisational change, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring efforts.

  • Adaptability and the ability to guide employees through transitions.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organisation.

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with employees, management, and external stakeholders.


Leadership and Management Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, coach, and manage HR teams effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, resolve conflicts, and make critical decisions.

  • Ensure Team Member Engagement is the forefront of all duties

  • Experience in managing HR budgets and resources efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a HR leadership or supervisory capacity, demonstrating leadership and people management skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a HR Operations Manager, with a strong background in HR compliance, WRC, and Irish labour laws, stakeholder management.

  • Knowledge of BPO industry dynamics and HR best practices.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • CIPD Qualification & CIPD Membership - desirable

  • Proficiency in HR software and tools, including HRIS, Workday experience preferable.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills.

  • Strong commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
