Description and Requirements

As a Business Intelligence Specialist you transform data into actionable insights to inform business decisions.  You analyze complex data sets to identify business trends, perform data mining, conduct analysis to improve and optimize business processes and strategies, and develop business intelligence reports/ dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.


Additional Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand business processes and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement or optimization through the use of data analytics

  • Collect, analyze and interpret large datasets to develop actionable business insights and recommendations 

  • Maintain business intelligence platforms and tools

  • Builds reports and tools inside the database environment

  • Conduct troubleshooting on complex business intelligence models

  • Evaluate and improve existing business intelligence models leveraging industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Expertise in data modeling, database technologies, and usage of business intelligence technologies and tools

  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data mining, and statistical analysis

  • Strong understanding of business processes and objectives to align business intelligence to strategic goals

  • Expert ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends and patterns and derive actionable insights

  • Ability to explain complex concepts to non technical stakeholders

  • Ability to solve complex problems; to takes a new perspective on existing solutions; to exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related field; MBA is desirable

  • B2 level oral and written English
