The team at Telus Digital is seeking a Learning & Quality Specialist to join a team of experts in charge of building and enhancing search experiments.

As a Learning and Quality Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the relevance, quality, and refining of processes to enhance AI-powered advertising systems. This position will involve providing guidance and direction to team members in best practice methodology using client guidelines. The role will be to support the Operations KPI’s through quality, training, and coaching. Your resourcefulness, analytical skills, and adaptability will be crucial in crafting effective solutions despite limited benchmarks.

Responsibilities:

  • Thrive in an environment where established norms are yet to be defined, leading the charge in developing solutions for AI-driven advertising

  • Conduct independent research initiatives to explore uncharted territories, gathering insights that drive innovation and strategic decisions

  • Collaborate closely with research and development teams to execute experiments aimed at enhancing LLM solutions

  • Work cross-functionally with teams including operations, implementation and Expert Raters, fostering an environment of collaborative problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proficiency in assessing team member performance and training needs

  • Exceptional Emotional Intelligence: Ability to navigate and resolve disagreements effectively, fostering collaborative solutions among global cross-functional teams.

  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to explain evaluations and propose innovative solutions

  • Detail-Oriented Mindset: Keen attention to detail to identify nuances and ensure that all trainees have the knowledge necessary to perform effectively

  • Resourcefulness: Ability to address challenges and issues within training workflows using creative and adaptive problem-solving approaches, even in the absence of established benchmarks

  • Familiarity with Annotation Guidelines: Understanding of annotation guidelines and best practices, ensuring consistent and accurate labeling of data

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in an evolving environment, readily adapting to changing processes and contributing valuable insights for process enhancement

Knowledge & Experience:

  • English B2 - Required

    • Oral and written comprehension

    • Appropriate use of language

  • Google Workspace - Intermediate

  • Familiarity with ethical considerations and challenges in AI, particularly in the context of advertising

  • Cultural awareness

  • An academic background in any social science would be a plus

  • Understanding of data labeling, annotation, and evaluation methodologies - Required

  • 6+ months of experience in either; Machine Learning, Marketing, Linguistics, Content Creation, Writing, Rating, Education, Training, or similar positions - Desirable

  • 6+ months of Training and Quality experience - Required
