As a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst at TELUS International Digital Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the high-quality delivery of our digital experiences. This is an on-site, contractor position in Charlotte, NC. We are looking for an experienced professional who possesses a strong command of software testing, automation, and quality assurance and is dedicated to upholding our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute testing efforts, ensuring the timely delivery of both released and upcoming applications and components.

  • Drive automation testing initiatives, taking a hands-on approach in creating and maintaining test automation scripts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts, including functional, automation, and performance testing.

  • Conduct functional testing when required to ensure the overall quality of our software products.

  • Utilize a solid understanding of core Java concepts, object-oriented programming, and design patterns to develop and maintain effective test automation frameworks.

  • Perform testing on various operating system environments, including Windows, Unix, and Linux.

  • Test interfaces and web services (REST & SOAP) for integrated systems.

  • Utilize testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, BDD/Gherkins, JMeter, and Gatling for comprehensive quality assurance.

  • Work in Docker and Kubernetes environments to validate application functionality.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in database testing with strong SQL skills, including the ability to create complex queries.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Solid understanding of core Java concepts and programming

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns

  • 8 years of hands-on experience in automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD/Gherkins, with a focus on framework development.

  • 8 years of experience with Maven, GitHub, and Jenkins for CI/CD.

  • 8 years of proficiency in programming editors and IDEs like Eclipse and IntelliJ.

  • Solid understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • 8 years of experience in testing with JMeter, Gatling, and preferably with APIs.

  • Familiarity working with Docker and Kubernetes environments.

  • Strong knowledge of databases and the ability to create complex SQL queries.

  • Expertise in testing integrated systems and web services (REST & SOAP).



Education/Certifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

  • Relevant certifications in software testing and quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSQA) would be a plus.
