We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have 4 - 8 years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on Cypress, JavaScript, and Playwright. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, and JavaScript.

  • Implement best practices in test architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and efficiency of test suites.

  • Utilize Playwright's multi-browser capabilities to ensure consistent application performance across different browsers and platforms.

  • Implement strategies for testing responsive designs and mobile compatibility.

  • Develop and execute API tests using tools like Supertest, Frisby, Postman and integrate them into the overall test automation strategy.

  • Ensure seamless integration between UI and API test layers.

  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize test execution in cloud environments.

  • Develop strategies for efficient test data generation and management.

  • Implement data-driven testing approaches to increase test coverage and efficiency.

  • Mentor junior team members in test automation best practices and emerging technologies.

  • Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the team's technical blog.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards for test coverage, execution results, and other key quality metrics.

  • Provide regular reports on test automation effectiveness and areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4-8 years of experience in software testing and test automation.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

  • Expert-level knowledge of Cypress and Playwright test automation frameworks.

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for test execution.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Job Description

Good to have

  • Experience with other programming languages and frameworks such as Selenium, Rest Assured, Python or Java etc.

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.

  • Experience with mobile application testing.
