Position Overview:

Join our Performance and Planning team within Global Operations as a key contributor supporting one of TELUS Digital's largest and most strategic call center accounts. Reporting to the Manager of Business and Market Intelligence, you'll be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable business insights that drive operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

In this dynamic role, as a senior team member, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, leading requirements gathering sessions and facilitating prioritization discussions. You'll harness the power of call center and customer data to uncover compelling insights, craft visually stunning and actionable dashboards, and revolutionize data delivery through intelligent automation and streamlined processing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Engineering

  • Design and implement robust, cloud-native data solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Tableau, Looker, and Looker Studio to power advanced business intelligence and market intelligence analytics

  • Build scalable, flexible dashboards that transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for strategic decision-making and operational optimization across various Centers of Excellence

  • Develop and optimize sophisticated data models and explores within the Looker ecosystem

Stakeholder Collaboration & Solution Delivery

  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand data hypotheses and translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions

  • Apply business acumen to deliver impactful analytics solutions that drive measurable business value

DevOps & Quality Assurance

  • Execute comprehensive Change Management and release management strategies ensuring smooth deployments with minimal business disruption

  • Implement automated regression testing frameworks to guarantee data solution reliability and accuracy

  • Maintain compliance excellence with industry standards and regulatory requirements (SOX, GDPR) while protecting critical data assets

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience with SQL/PL-SQL, stored procedures, BigQuery, and Dataflow for complex dataset development and data pipeline engineering

  • 5-7 years of proven cloud architecture expertise, specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments

  • 2-5 years of dashboard and visualization mastery using Tableau, Looker, and Looker Studio

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced proficiency in designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines using native GCP services, GitHub CI/CD, or equivalent platforms

  • Strong Python and Docker skills for developing custom BI layer processes, external system integrations, and complex pipeline automation within CI/CD

  • Demonstrated success delivering complex BI/Data solutions in enterprise cloud environments

  • Deep understanding of Change Management and release management principles with proven implementation experience

  • Hands-on DevOps and automation experience with modern development practices

  • Expert-level knowledge of Git's code repositories and version control system

Advanced Certifications

  • Cloud certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified Developer

  • Data engineering certifications: Oracle, Microsoft, or other industry-recognized data platform credentials

Specialized Experience

  • CI/CD pipeline expertise for deploying data pipelines, analytics models, and enterprise applications

  • Security and compliance mastery including SOX, GDPR, and cloud security best practices

  • Advanced automation experience in enterprise data environments

  • Implement seamless API integrations to enable efficient data exchange and system communication
