About the role


Responsible for documenting and configuring business processes, optimizing and extending functionality, analyzing, testing, and delivering in-house code-based or configuration-based developed solutions. Assists with enterprise-level software/systems operations including report creation, configuration management, and handover to BAU support.


The SaaS Sr. Developer integrates the knowledge of systems analysis and design methods, computer application systems and development procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to develop, modify, and implement HR/FIN systems.


Responsibilities:
Deliver enhancements, bug fixes, data setup, and define test acceptance criteria. 

  • Configure, build, and test prototype solutions, business processes, and integrations.

  • Write configuration specifications for new functionality and make system changes.

  • Collaborate with business users to assess business needs and translate those needs into effective technical solutions that align with project initiatives.  

  • Provide functional support to the ERP Finance/HR team, lead the analysis and business case development for interfaces, enhancements, and process changes, and drive the testing and acceptance of the changes. 

  • Provide functional expertise and leadership in the design, testing, and debugging of new requirements/enhancements to existing apps/modules/integrations. 

  • Monitor recurring (daily, weekly, or monthly) interfaces/processes, internal and external, to ensure successful execution and troubleshoot any failed processes.  

  • Investigate and resolve system-related issues and support the business by escalating issues to the appropriate vendor or internal system owner. 

  • Participate in weekly meetings with business and/or project teams to discuss projects, progress, and any issues that need to be resolved.  

  • Support SOX compliance efforts.

  • Prepares specifications and documentation, including user manuals and system/code documentation, for newly developed applications or integrations.

  • Investigate and resolve system-related functionalities to adapt them to the development requirements.

  • Facilitate meetings, conduct and lead presentations and/or training sessions with end-users, standardize training, and provide detailed documentation as needed.

  • Understand dependencies with other systems.

  • Complete tasks on schedule, within established guidelines, communicate, coordinate, and collaborate clearly and effectively.

  • Recommend solutions to the business in the capacity of a trusted advisor.

  • Act as SME in the architecture/development and testing phases, providing UI/Development recommendations for new applications or requirements.

  • Diagnose, track, and manage quality issues to resolution.

Knowledge:

  • B2 English level, written and verbal.

  • Oral and written comprehension.

  • Knowledge of Call Center Operations - Desire.

  • Working Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and REST).

  • Development environment and object-oriented programming.

  • Knowledge in business process analysis, requirements and design, data modeling, detailed functional design, test planning, and UAT execution.

  • Design patterns and antipatterns for UX/UI

  • Relational databases and database design knowledge.

  • Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load).

  • Knowledge about enterprise integration patterns (EIPS).

  • Proficiency with Google applications (i.e. Sheets, G Suite).

  • Knowledge about HR and Finance processes and practices.


Studies & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields

    • 2+ years’ experience as a Configuration analyst or functional analyst in any HR/Finance applications, and knowledge of integration points.

    • 2+ years of experience in Workday integrations, EIBs, SFTP deliveries, APIs, and connectors.

    • 2+ years of experience in Workday Studio and Orchestration services.

    • 3+ years of experience with OO design and Java programming, MVC frameworks, HTML, XSLT, and CSS.

    • 3+ years of experience working with Web Services (SOAP and REST) and SQL queries.

    • 3+ years of experience working with JSON and JavaScript.

    • Experience with Workato or automation tools. - desired

    • Experience with Python and Selenium. - desired

    • Experience with enterprise-level software/systems functions, including configuration, data loads, and maintenance

    • Experience in leading and influencing stakeholders and working collaboratively 

    • Experience in successfully working in multiple organizational structures and a matrix environment
