About the role



We’re looking for an Automation Strategist to lead the design and strategy of automation initiatives that transform customer experience and business operations. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical design — you’ll identify high-value opportunities, analyze solution alternatives, and architect automation approaches that deliver measurable ROI.


You’ll facilitate workshops, run discovery sessions, and engage directly with stakeholders to uncover automation opportunities. From there, you’ll create automation designs, select the right platforms (RPA, AI, or integration tools), and shape roadmaps that balance quick wins with scalable, long-term transformation.


The ideal candidate is part strategist, part technologist, and part advisor — equally comfortable leading executive conversations about automation strategy and making the technical design choices that bring those strategies to life.




Job Responsibilities:


  • Lead Process Discovery: Facilitate workshops, SME interviews, and process reviews to identify automation opportunities across CX and business operations.

  • Leverage Discovery Tools: Use process mining and discovery platforms (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining, Automation Anywhere Discovery Bot, Signavio) to validate findings, uncover inefficiencies, and strengthen automation recommendations.

  • Conduct Feasibility Analysis: Assess the technical, financial, and operational feasibility of automation opportunities. Make informed recommendations — in some cases determining that no automation is the right decision.

  • Design Automation Solutions: Create end-to-end automation designs and make choices on the right approach — whether Agentic AI, RPA, orchestration, simple integrations, or no automation at all. Select the appropriate platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or custom AI solutions) to bring those designs to life.

  • Build Automation Roadmaps: Define transformation journeys that balance quick wins with scalable mid-term initiatives and long-term intelligent automation.

  • Develop Business Cases: Partner with Business/Data Analysts to model ROI, quantify financial impacts, and frame the value of automation initiatives.

  • Prioritize Opportunities: Maintain a pipeline of automation use cases ranked by ROI, complexity, and strategic impact.

  • Engage Stakeholders: Partner with business and technology leaders to align automation goals with organizational priorities and CX strategies.

  • Guide Solution Delivery: Provide direction to solution architects and developers, ensuring designs are implemented as intended and aligned to best practices.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor outcomes, capture lessons learned, and recommend refinements as technologies and business needs evolve.

  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to build executive-ready slides and visuals that communicate automation strategies, roadmaps, and ROI clearly.




Technical Skills:


  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, business transformation, process optimization, or automation strategy.

  • Hands-on knowledge of automation technologies, with experience in platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism, and familiarity with AI/Agentic AI tools.

  • Proven ability to conduct feasibility analyses — including when to recommend RPA, AI, orchestration, simple integrations, or no automation at all.

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills to evaluate ROI, efficiency gains, and cost-benefit tradeoffs.

  • Proficiency with process mapping and discovery tools (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining, Automation Anywhere Discovery Bot, Signavio).

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills — able to lead workshops, interview stakeholders, and translate findings into clear strategies and designs.

  • A balance of strategist, technologist, and advisor — comfortable engaging executives on automation vision while also making detailed design and platform decisions.

  • Adaptability and curiosity to stay ahead of evolving automation and AI technologies, and to apply those advancements to business challenges.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working with or designing automations for contact centers / CX operations, with knowledge of key metrics like AHT, FCR, and CSAT.

  • Familiarity with integration approaches, including APIs, middleware, and workflow orchestration platforms.

  • Exposure to agentic AI frameworks and how they complement or extend traditional RPA and integration approaches.

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, BPM) and how they intersect with automation strategies.

  • Background in building automation roadmaps for large-scale transformation programs.

  • Experience presenting to executive stakeholders and influencing decision-making at the leadership level.

  • Comfort navigating complex organizational environments where business, operations, and IT priorities need to be aligned.
