About the Role

We are looking for a SDET / QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Cypress (JavaScript/TypeScript-based test automation). This role involves working closely with development teams to improve software quality, ensure test coverage, and optimize testing frameworks.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Cypress (JavaScript/TypeScript-based test automation)

  • Design, write, and execute test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.

  • Conduct both manual and automated testing for web and API-based applications.

  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.

  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Perform API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.

  • Validate database interactions using SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning and stand-up meetings.

  • Continuously enhance and optimize test automation strategies and frameworks.

  • Provide technical guidance on best testing practices to development teams.




Requirements:

  • Experience in QA automation and software testing.

  • Experience in writing and executing test scripts in Java/Javascript for automated and manual testing.

  • Hands-on experience with Cypress test automation (JavaScript/TypeScript-based test automation)

  • Proficiency in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

  • Experience with SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.

  • Familiarity with version control (Git) for test script management.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • English Level: B1 high or above - Mandatory.

Desirable Skills:


  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for test environments.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).


Desirable Certifications:

  • ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) – International Software Testing Qualifications Board.

  • Certified Selenium Tester (CST) – ISTQB or equivalent.

  • Certified Software Test Automation Engineer (CSTAE) – QAI Global Institute.
