Position overview:
Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation, and regulatory compliances.
Key responsibilities:
Supervises all financial reports on a daily basis, reviews entries posted by Accounting Associates, and recommends for approval to the Accounting Manager. Generates various analyses and financial reports for management
Maintains close coordination to operations group and other service support departments. These specifically include processing of requests for payment, queries or need to orient for related accounting policies and procedures, and clarifications on some financial reports
Maintains close coordination with the treasury and budget department to ensure timely and accurate release of payments to vendors, suppliers, and employees. Teams up with the financial planning department to achieve timely and accurate monthly closing of books
Handles issues or concerns of suppliers and vendors
Coordinates and handles issues or concerns of external auditors
Manages work of all Accounting Associates, including review of regulatory reports
Coordinates with Accounting Manager in evaluating company policies related to financials and recommends improvements, if any
Deliverables include: Process improvements, new policies and controls, policy updates as approved by CFO
Process Improvements: implementation of automation, process streamlining, TNA improvement, as approved by the CFO
Spearheads trainings for support and operation teams on new or improved system in relation to automation or streamlined process implementations
Conducts orientations for support and operation teams on new or updated company policies
Manages the following with minimal supervision from the Accounting Manager:
Annual internal and external audit
Tax and other statutory audits conducted by government agencies
Should be able to decide on matters related to the above based on gained knowledge and experience with minimal guidance from the Accounting Manager

Knowledge of the NIC'S and NIIF - Advance
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting
Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related area - Required.
More than five (5h) years experience in the Accounting Department, preferably within the call center or consulting industry.
