Description and Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Engineering Lead with at least 9 years of backend development experience and deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable backend architectures, leading development teams, and integrating AI solutions into our product ecosystem. This role demands strong leadership, technical proficiency, and a passion for cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend developers, AI engineers, and data scientists.

  • Establish best coding practices, ensuring high code quality and adherence to industry standards.

  • Drive agile methodologies within the team for efficient project execution.

Backend Development:
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and APIs.

  • Ensure the backend architecture is robust, secure, and capable of handling large-scale operations.

  • Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

  • Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

AI & Generative AI Expertise:
  • Leverage AI and GenAI technologies to create innovative solutions that enhance product features.

  • Stay updated with advancements in AI/GenAI, machine learning models, and NLP techniques.

  • Collaborate with data scientists to integrate AI models into production environments.

  • Experience in AI model lifecycle management, including training, testing, and deployment.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, and designers, to align technical development with business goals.

  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team.

  • Implement DevOps practices to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.

  • Identify areas of improvement in system performance and scalability.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:
  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, including architecture design and API development.

  • Proven experience with at least one major backend language (e.g., Python,  Go).

  • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Experience working with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • AI/GenAI Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and hands-on experience with AI models.

  • Familiarity with Generative AI techniques (e.g., GPT, DALL·E, BERT) and deploying AI systems in production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MLOps and AI model deployment pipelines.

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.

  • Contributions to AI/ML open-source projects or publications.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
