We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level Technical Project Manager to lead the successful migration of on-premises virtual machines (VMs) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a solid understanding of cloud technologies, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Execution:
  • Develop, manage, and execute detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and adjust plans as needed.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including VM administrators, cloud engineers, network/security specialists, and business analysts.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to ensure project success.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, risk logs, and change requests.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements throughout the migration process.
  • Prepare and present post-migration reports, highlighting key outcomes and lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience in IT Project Management, with at least 1 year of experience managing VM migration projects.
• Proven experience with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like Compute Engine.
• Understanding of VM management systems and migration tools (e.g., Google Migrate for Compute Engine).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in risk and change management.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of IT compliance and security best practices related to VM management and cloud solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Cloud certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer (any cloud).
