As a Mid-Level Node.js and TypeScript Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side applications and APIs to support our business operations. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, write behavior-driven development (BDD) scripts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems. The role requires hands-on coding, integrating databases, and working on various business automation processes.
This position is ideal for someone with a proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a passion for working in a dynamic tech environment.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
Write and execute BDD scripts to automate business processes and ensure efficient system workflows.
Implement and manage RESTful APIs and WebSocket services for seamless communication between services.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
Collaborate closely with front-end developers and other team members to design scalable solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software as necessary.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.
Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
Experience with BDD concepts and various Node.js libraries for database integration, RESTful APIs, and invoking APIs over HTTP.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and WebSocket services.
Knowledge of NC platform (experience with FIFA or Telus implementation is a bonus).
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to work in a hybrid model, meeting onsite at least three times a week.
Experience working with CX Tools or similar platforms.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of modern development frameworks and tools for automation.
Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
