About the Role

We are seeking skilled SDET to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of microservices APIs. This role involves developing and implementing testing strategies, identifying and documenting bugs, and working closely with developers to resolve issues. The QA Developer will also contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Implements test automation for regression and progression scenarios that allow for a repeatable and reliable testing framework for backend systems.

• Identifies and documents defects in all environments, and drives them to resolution.

• Reviews test automation code written by other team members.

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, following the team’s best practices and coding standards.

• Performs on-demand and ad hoc manual/automated testing as needed.

• Requests and prepares test data for all environments to support the implementation of test scenarios.

• Validates Production deployment changes with automation scripts and reports on issues found.

• Reports out on automated test results on a daily basis.

• Interfaces with the business team to ensure that test scenarios are appropriate and test coverage is complete.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.

• Experience deriving test cases from use cases, user stories, non-functional requirements and design documents.

• Automation testing tools: Selenium, Appium and BDD.

• Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS.

• Programming languages - Java/Javascript

• API testing tools : REST Assured, RestSharp, jMeter, Postman, SoapUI, etc.

• Continuous Integration tools: Jenkins, Bit bucket, Github.

• JIRA – Defect tracking and task creation tool.

• Experience in GitHub/GitHub Actions with CI/CD

• Basic knowledge of GCP, DynaTrace, Blazemeter, Cloud Jira

• Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors.

• Analytical skills – Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.
