Join our team and what we'll accomplish together
We are seeking an Intermediate Developer to join our Form Builder (FB) team. This team is
responsible for developing and maintaining our form building system, ensuring consistency,
efficiency, and quality across all TELUS digital products. As an Intermediate Developer, you will
play a crucial role in supporting the form builder team, collaborating with developers, and other
stakeholders to create seamless user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in software development, particularly in form creation and management, and the
ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Form Components: Build, test, and maintain reusable form components and libraries that adhere to the FB guidelines.
- Optimize Form Performance: Implement best practices for form validation, submission, and data handling to ensure efficient and user-friendly forms.
- Code Reviews and Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, provide constructive
- feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards for form
- development.
- Documentation: Help create and maintain comprehensive documentation for FB
- components, including usage guidelines, API references, and best practices.
- Support and Troubleshoot: Provide support to product teams using the FB system,
- troubleshoot form-related issues, and implement fixes as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in
- form building, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the FB system.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the FB
- system meets the needs of all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on building and maintaining form systems
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong emphasis on form-related functionalities.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular) for building dynamic forms.
- Experience with cloud architecture e.g. GCP
- Experience with Node js and frameworks such as express.
- Familiarity with Figma for collaborating on form designs
- Understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards for forms
- Experience with form data handling, validation, and submission processes
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, particularly for complex form scenarios.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for creating efficient and user-friendly forms.
- Desire to learn and take on new challenges in form building technologies
Great to have:
- Experience with Native technologies, e.g Android and iOS
- Experience with drag-and-drop form builder interfaces
- Knowledge of form analytics and user behavior tracking
- Experience with form-specific accessibility testing tools and techniques
- Familiarity with low-code or no-code form building platforms
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, CPWA)
