Position Overview:

As a Health & Safety Specialist at TELUS Digital, you will lead the health & safety department, cooperate closely with our Wellbeing department, and lead informational and promotional health & safety activities.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Risks assessments, proposals for control measures and reduction of risks derived from risk assessments 

  • Planning of preventive initiatives and directing the actions to be developed 

  • Emergency plans and simulations 

  • Management of health surveillance 

  • Promoting the application of current regulations on occupational risk prevention, ensuring the preparation of procedures and updating of internal standards for dissemination and compliance 

  • Realisation of technical prevention reports 

  • Preparation of necessary prevention documentation 

  • Information and training of employees 

  • Carrying out accident investigations and kickstarting the actions derived from them 

  • Advising on the prevention of occupational risks 

  • Preparation of coordination manuals for business activities 

  • Preparation of self-protection plans 

What we expect:

  • Qualified Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (Sifa) certification according to DGUV regulation 

  • Experience in ergonomics of work and occupational safety

  • Preferably a university degree in technical studies or a related field

  • Previous work experience in psychological risks and occupational safety or a related area 

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) in German and English (min. B2) 

  • Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
