Position:Senior Applications Developer

Responsibilities:
- Translate user requirements into design for new software or extensive software revisions.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of the design.
- Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
- Monitor the functioning of equipment to ensure that the system operates in conformance with specifications.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and negotiate opportunities to apply architecture standards and guidelines to existing and modified applications.
- Perform code reviews of other team members and provide comments and feedback to ensure code is performing efficiently and as per the design.
- Look for the opportunity for implementing tools and applications to make the process better and more efficient.
- Support clients in implementing new technologies (move to Cloud, convert SOAP to REST, containerize the service) for the efficient functioning of services.
- Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic relocation required to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.
Educ./experience:
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Developer or in a related position.
- Experience must include Java, J2EE, unit testing, SQL, Jenkins, and Spring Boot.
